Restylane®
Extensively tested to ensure maximum efficacy and safety, Restylane® is a revolutionary dermal filler that is safe for use even in patients with sensitivities to animal-derived products. The key ingredient in Restylane®, hyaluronic acid, closely resembles that which is found naturally in youthful skin and is produced in a laboratory setting. In the hands of a trained medical professional, Restylane® can smooth wrinkles and promote a more rested and revitalized facial appearance.
At our Dallas / Fort Worth-area practice, Restylane® is administered using a very fine needle. Just a small amount is needed to correct lines, wrinkles, and facial folds. Treatment with Restylane® typically involves minimal discomfort and most individuals are able to return to their normal routines after leaving the office. Although no testing is necessary prior to Restylane® treatment, patients are advised to avoid the use of certain medications and herbal remedies before the procedure.
Since Restylane® does not permanently change the face, many patients schedule follow-up treatments every few months to maintain their rejuvenating results.
JUVÉDERM™ Injectable Gel
Praised for its versatility, JUVÉDERM™ Injectable Gel is used to counteract the effects of aging. Whether by filling in lines and wrinkles, restoring lost volume to the contours of the face, or plumping the lips for a more youthful pout, JUVÉDERM™ Injectable Gel can produce amazing results. Like Restylane®, JUVÉDERM™ Injectable Gel is made from hyaluronic acid, a substance existing naturally in the skin that provides youthful volume and fullness.
Depending on the area to be treated, an anesthetic gel may be applied prior to treatment. Then, using a fine needle, our experienced Dallas / Fort Worth rejuvenation expert injects small amounts of JUVÉDERM™ Injectable Gel into the treatment areas. Little or no downtime is associated with the procedure, and patients typically return to their normal activities the day of treatment.
Treatment with JUVÉDERM™ Injectable Gel takes only about 15 minutes, but the results can last up to a year. After that time, touch-up injections are necessary to sustain the rejuvenating effects of JUVÉDERM™ Injectable Gel.
Chemical Peel Treatments
Dr. Antonetti offers his patients chemical peel treatments to rejuvenate their skin for a more radiant appearance. This procedure is used to make the skin look smoother, healthier, and younger. Chemical peels work by removing the outer layers of skin and revealing the new skin below. This treatment can reduce wrinkles, acne scars and blemishes, and areas of uneven pigmentation.
At our Dallas / Fort Worth-area practice, we offer several chemical peel types, including phenol, trichloroacetic acid (TCA), and alpha-hydroxy acid (AHA). Which peel you choose depends upon how deep a peel you need and how sensitive your skin is. Dr. Antonetti can help you determine which chemical peel is right for you and your skin.
It may be important to note that chemical peels can be used in conjunction with a facelift at our Dallas / Fort Worth-area practice, but should not be used in place of one. Chemical peel treatments are a less involved, outpatient procedure that can improve skin's texture and appearance. It cannot erase lines created by deeper folds of skin or provide the sort of tightening afforded by a facelift. If you are interested primarily in these types of results, you may be happier with a facelift. If you mainly desire better skin texture, then a chemical peel alone may suffice. Combining the procedures gives the benefits of each.
